Welcome to the Wansdyke Carriage Driving Group
The Wansdyke Carriage Driving Group (WCDG) takes disabled adults driving in horse-drawn carriages in the West Woods, on the Marlborough Downs and along the country lanes and villages around the village of Lockeridge (near Marlborough) where we are based.
We give our participants the opportunity to get outside and enjoy the countryside in all seasons, including bluebell time in the spring and glorious views on the Downs in the summer.
WCDG is part of Riding for the Disabled, but we are a separate charity run totally by volunteers.

Come and join us for a unique experience:
Our members join us from the local area and we have good links with care homes and sheltered accommodation.
We welcome new members, new volunteers and new horses!
What some of our members say
"SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT"
“I like all aspects of carriage driving. I feel I have achieved something when we finish our drive and I enjoy collecting the horses from the field and taking them back. When the work is done we meet in the kitchen area for coffee and biscuits and sometimes a cake that somebody has brought it”
Lisa (Registered Blind)
"friendly horses"
“I do it because it is the horses, I enjoy the fresh air and going out into the countryside with horses"
Christopher (Registered Blind)
"best day of the week"
“It is the best day of my week - thank you”
Neil (Huntingdon's Disease)
